Welcome to the website of the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 3631 We represent the health, welfare, and rights of over 821 professional firefighters, employed by the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) and the City of Laguna Beach, protecting just over 1.3 million citizens in 24 cities and the unincorporated portions of Orange County. Our professional firefighters are frontline emergency responders dealing with the prevention, protection, mitigation, and abatement of Orange County’s emergencies. Our firefighters are highly trained, highly motivated and handle over 70,000 emergency incidents per year. Each member possess a variety of skills as dual role (fire & emergency medical service) multi function firefighters and come from a variety of backgrounds. The OCPFA is very active in public relations as a means of reaching out and communicating with the citizens we protect. Fundraiser for Cal Fire Captain Jeff Cate

Hello Everyone, Jeff Cate is a Cal Fire Captain who has come down with lung cancer in both lungs. Jeff was a long time PCF at station 29 before joining the Federal Fire Department and eventually Cal Fire. Jeff's mother came by the station today and informed us that Jeff's church in San Clemente has decided to throw a surf & skate clothing blowout fund raiser for him. Clothing companies like O'Neill, Quiksilver, Billabong, Hurley, Truth, and RVCA will be selling clothes with proceeds going to Jeff. All ages are welcome and the family would appreciate your support. Let's help a brother firefighter in his time of need by supporting this sale. FULL FIRE SERVICE HONORS FOR CPF SECRETARY TREASURER DALLAS JONES SET FOR MAY 20TH FORMER LOS ANGELES FIREFIGHTERS PRESIDENT AND EX-OES DIRECTOR TO BE HONORED FOR LIFETIME OF SERVICE California's firefighters and public safety community mourn the loss of CPF Secretary Treasurer Dallas Jones. A tireless champion of California's first responders and their families for more than four decades, Brother Jones died Saturday, May 10th of lung cancer at age 64. In addition to serving two separate tenures as CPF Secretary Treasurer, Dallas Jones also served 32 years in the fire service, 16 of those as president of Los Angeles County Firefighters Local 1014. Jones also served as the Director of California's Office of Emergency Services, and was a nationally-recognized expert on emergency response.
